About Morocco
First of all, it is the country with the fourth most crowded population after Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, and Algeria among the Arab countries. It is a North African country with a population of approximately 37 million and a surface area of 720,000 km². The capital is Rabat and the largest city is Casablanca. Morocco, one of the Maghreb countries, has a long coastline in the Mediterranean Sea surrounding the Strait of Gibraltar from the Atlantic Ocean. However, Algeria in the east, Spain in the north (a border of the sea along the Bosphorus and two small autonomous cities, named Ceuta and Melilla), and Mauritania in the south.
Afterward, the official languages of the country, which is the official and dominant religious Islam, are Arabic and Berbice. But French is commonly spoken, especially as a business language. Currently, Morocco is a member of the African Union, the Arab League, the Great Maghreb Union, the Frankofon, the Islamic Conference Organization, the Mediterranean Dialogue Group, and the G77.
Customs tariffs
Although it varies in Morocco on a product basis, customs duties applied to third countries without any agreements are listed below, briefly. However, there may be exceptions to these tax rates, as well as different rates applied to the signed countries.
- Import Tax: 40 %
- Special Tax: 0.25 %
- Value Added Tax: 20 %
- Under the name of Ecological Taxes of Plastic Content (AD Valorem) under the name of Ecological Tax: 1 %
- Forest Tax from products containing wood and applied to the whole world: 12 %
On the other hand, under the name of internal consumption tax (Taxe de ConsomMation), lemonade, gas or gas-free waters, mineral waters, table waters or others, flavored or without aroma, beers, wines, and alcohols, energy products, and bitumen, platinum, gold or silver Taxes are taken from the liquids used to charge the works, electronic devices called tobacco, electronic cigarettes produced, electronic cigarettes.
